Pauline Martin Ricks, 88, passed away April 9, 2011. She was a native of Nacogdoches, Texas, and was the daughter of the late Hollis and Gladys Martin. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Larkspur Bridge Club. She was a resident of Virginia Beach since 1973, and also lived in Dallas, Texas and Atlanta, Georgia. She was the widow of Robert R. Ricks since 2003. Pauline is survived by her son, Terry Don Ricks and Kathleen Elizabeth Lamb of Potomac, Maryland; and her grandson, Kyle Daniel Ricks of New York City. She is also survived by a niece, Patti Parrish Kyle of Houston, Texas; a nephew, Perry Lynn Singleton of Irving, Texas; and two nieces-in-law, Theresa Kerr of Elkhart, Texas and Phyllis Kerr of Houston, Texas. She was predeceased by her grandson, Scott Matthew Ricks. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home the day of the service. Burial will be in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum in Princess Anne Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Southeastern Chapter or a charity of your choice.
