Racine - Mrs. Pearl Frances Berggren (nee: Heusdens), 84, passed away at her home on Thursday, March 16, 2007.

Pearl was born in Racine to the late Peter and Alice (nee: Blackburn) Heusdens on March 11, 1923. She lived in the northern parts of Wisconsin from 1959 until 1965 since returning to Racine. In Springfield, Missouri she was united in marriage to Willard F. Dankert in 1941. He preceded her in death on February 20, 1966. She then married Kenneth Berggren on November 11, 1971 who also preceded her in death on November 23, 1993.

Mrs. Berggren was a devout Christian and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church who liked to attend many other churches. Pearl and her husband, Willard owned a Bowling alley in Manawa. During World War II, she worked for Hamilton Beach. She was employed by Western printing for many years. She was also a beautician in the Racine area. She retired in 1991. Pearl was very good with people and loved to be with her family. She was a loving mother, a colorful, fun loving person that was full of life. She was a great dancer and avid golfer.

Pearl is survived by five children, Darleen (Bob) Pattison, Steven Dankert, Donna Dankert, Carol (Karl) Christensen, and Nancy (Floyd) Boyles; 9 grandchildren, Kevin (Erin) Woiteshek, Rachel Woiteshek, and Jana (Chad) Zickus, Aimee Ellsworth, Tyler Christensen, Daniel Dankert and his fiance, Ashley, Tiffany (Eric) Oliver, Weston Weidenbenner, and Marissa Weidenbenner; seven great grandchildren, Jordan Woiteshek, Natalie and Dylon Zickus, Christian Bell, Camdon Ellsworth, Braxton and Camron Oliver, and one more great grandchild on the way; one brother, Jack Heusdens; and one sister-in-law, Dorothy Heusdens. She was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Angela Ellsworth; one brother Neil Heusdens; and one sister and brother-in-law, Leona (Ben) Hurlock.

Funeral service will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at 11:30 am with Pastor Carlos Ancheta officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relative and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 until service time.
