Pearl Toelle, 76, Wahpeton, ND, formerly of Breckenridge, MN, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2008, at St. Catherine's Living Center in Wahpeton, ND. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church, Breckenridge, MN with Pastor Burt Benson officiating. Visitation will be on Monday, January 14, 2008, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge, MN. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Campbell, MN.
Pearl was born in South Dakota on August 19, 1931 to Henry and Amanda (Neisess) Maurer. The family moved to the Tenney, MN area were Pearl attended school until the eighth grade and moved on to Campbell High School.
Pearl was united in marriage to Robert Toelle on September 29, 1950 in Tyler, ND. They farmed in the White Rock, SD area until they moved to Breckenridge, MN in 1959. Pearl had a housekeeping, laundry service, and commercial building cleaning business after moving to Breckenridge. In the 1980's she had a daycare in Breckenridge. In 1993, Pearl and Bob retired to Dead Lake near Dent, MN.
Pearl was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Breckenridge and Immanuel Lutheran Church in Dent, MN and enjoyed church very much. She was also involved in Bible studies at St. Catherine's Living Center. One of her pleasures in life was getting a sandwich at McDonalds. She also enjoyed playing cards and being with children, especially her grandchildren.
Pearl is survived by, her husband, Bob Toelle, Breckenridge, MN; her daughter, Karie (Jerry) Trupka, Breckenridge, MN; her six grandchildren, Brandon Trupka, Cynthia Trupka, Emily Trupka, Michael Schwartz, Patricia Collins, Deborah Monson; her six great-grandchildren, Sabrina, Logan, and Garrett Schwartz and Paige, Triton, and Talon Monson.
She was preceded by her parents, Henry and Amanda Maurer and her daughter, Phyllis (Schwartz) Collins.
