Peggy Joyce Burson, 75, of Lubbock passed away on Friday, September 24, 2010 in Lubbock. She was born April 20, 1935 in Haskell, Texas to James and Mildred Kennemer. She married Travis Tidwell Burson on May 24, 1953 in Haskell. He preceded her in death on August 11, 2007.

Peggy enjoyed her family, gardening, Dr. Pepper and the porch swing with Travis.

Survivors include a daughter, Joni Speegle and husband Steve of Katy, Texas; a son, Bruce Burson and wife Shelley of Wolfforth; a sister, Pat Kennemer; and a grandson, Travis Speegle.

The family will receive friends at Sanders Funeral Home in Lubbock on Sunday from 4-6:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held on Monday, September 27, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Willow Cemetery in Haskell, Texas under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
