Peggy G Penland

Peggy Garrett Penland, 83, of Orlando passed away on Dec. 10, 2011. She was a native of Georgia who graduated from Winter Park High School in the Class of 1946. She loved to dance and did so frequently until her health curtailed her activities. She was married to Lat James Penland, Sr. who predeceased her in 1986. Also predeceasing her were parents Robert and Ruth Garrett, sister Jean Hainlin and brother Bob Garrett. She is survived by sister Betty Jo Foster (Brandon), her children: Lat James Penland, Jr., Richard Penland (Wanda) and Jill Ellenback (Bill), four grandchildren: Aubrey Hall (Matt), Justin Penland, Tyler Ellenback, and Kaitlyn Ellenback, and two great-grandchildren. A graveside memorial service will be held at 12pm on Dec. 17, 2011, at Highland Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cornerstone Hospice.
