Perry B. Monroe , 88, passed away Friday, February 10, 2012 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born in Vicksburg, MS, Perry worked as a housekeeping manager with Parkview Hospital for 17 years, retiring He was a retired U S Navy Chief Petty Officer serving our country for 27 years. He enjoyed coin collecting, reading and gardening. Surviving are his daughter, Virginia Loraine Minnick of Fort Wayne, IN. son, Perry (Renee) Monroe of TX grandsons, Bill (Patti) Bullerman of Chicago, John (Ann) Minnick of Fort Wayne, Nick Monroe and Gregory Monroe both of Kendallville, and grand daughter, Shawna Johnson of Mississippi. 2 great grandchildren, Brady and Jordan Minnick of Fort Wayne. Perry was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Monroe and grandson, Christopher Monroe who died in Iraq while serving in the armed forces. Funeral Service is Wed, 10:00 am, February 15, 2012 at - D.O. McComb and Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Avenue. Rev. Todd R Spain officiating. Calling also Tuesday, February 14, 2012 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm & 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm . Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens , Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
