Perry "PD" Stafford ,
A native of Walker and a resident of Denham Springs, passed away Monday, January 9, 2012 at his residence at the age of 75 following a brief illness. He was surrounded by his family and close friends. P.D. was a United States Marine Corp veteran serving during the Korean Conflict and was a retired millwright.
He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Wanda; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Jo Stafford; children, Timmye and David Woodward, Keith and Michele Stafford; step-children, Joe and Pricilla Milligan, Gary and Ruth Milligan, George and Carma Milligan, Tommy and Maria Milligan, Tamera Fontenot, Gilbert and Vanette Fontenot. He has 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; special cousins, Jimmy and Billy Stafford; dear friends, Paul and Rose Criesler and a multitude of other great friends he has had.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennou and Addie Stafford; sister, Martha; brother, Percy.
Visitation will be at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, on Tuesday, January 10, 2012, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Graveside services will be held at Salem Cemetery, Walker, on Wednesday, January 11, 2012, at 11:00 AM, conducted by Rev. Carl Sullivan. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Walker.
The family would like to express a special thanks to the nurses at Ochsner and his caring hospice personel.
