Peter Fratantuono, Jr. M.A., 55 of Greene, died Saturday November 21, 2009. He was the husband of Ingrid ( Foehr ) Fratantuono. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Marie (Parillo) Fratantuono and Dr. Peter Fratantuono, M.D. Peter graduated from URI in 1977 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Zoology, a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology and a Masters in Rehabilitation Therapy from Assumption College. He was the co-owner of the Good Hope Center drug and alcohol rehabilitation center, the first private residential substance treatment facility in Rhode Island. He was chosen to sit on the Governor's council for drug and alcohol rehabilitation, he also taught Psychology at the University of Rhode Island. Following his career in the health field he enjoyed working on the family farm raising livestock and growing fresh produce to sell at Farmers Market. In his love of learning and great outdoors he became a licensed Arborist and began Moosup River Farm Tree Services. He has brought life and laughter into everything he loved including his family, home and farm. Besides his wife he is survived by three sons, Peter Joseph Fratantuono, Alan Anthony Fratantuono and Robert Carl Fratantuono all of Greene. His uncle Judge Anthony Fratantuono, Esq. and his wife Adeline and aunt Anna Rose Fratantuono. Friends may call at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home and Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick Friday November 27, 2009 from 12 - 1 PM followed by a funeral service at 1pm. Kindly omit flowers.
