Peter L. Edge, 59, of North Kingstown passed away Saturday, October 1, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Mary G. (Feeney) Edge for 39 years.


Born in Chester, PA, he was a son of the late Robert E. and Betty Lou (Cullum) Edge.


He was a US Air Force Veteran serving during the Vietnam Era.


Mr. Edge was a business manager for Hexagon Metrology, where he worked for almost 30 years.


He was an avid golfer and enjoyed hunting in Alaska. He was a member of the National Wood Carvers Association.


Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Kevin P. Edge of Leominster, MA and Shawn M. Edge of South Kingstown; a daughter, Jennifer A. Robinson of Attleboro, MA; four brothers, Robert E. Edge, Jr. of Fall River, MA, Michael C. Edge of Greenfield, IN, Curtis D. Edge of Tiverton and Mark A. Edge of Anchorage, AK; two sisters, Betty Dawn Edge of Long Island, NY and Robin E. Millovitsch of Griswold, CT; and eight grandchildren.


His funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 10am in the FAGAN-QUINN Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown. Burial with Military Honors will be in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association, RI Chapter, 222 Richmond Street, Ste. 204, Providence, RI 02903 will be appreciated.
