Phyllis A. Huber Farriss, 85, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at Woodview Health Care. Born Aug. 10, 1926, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Richard and Huldah (Peggy) Pooley. She graduated from Fort Wayne Northside High School in 1944. She married Jack P. Huber in 1946. Following Mr. Huber's death in 1956, she married George Farriss in 1961. She was a homemaker; loving wife, mom, and grandma; and an active member of Forest Park United Methodist Church. She is survived by her son, James A. (Karen) Huber of Fremont, daughter-in-law, Arlene, of Muncie, stepdaughters Beth Ann (Mark) Knuth of Roann and Janice (Stuart) Coverstone of Pierceton. She is survived by seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, a son, Jack P. Huber, a sister, Mary Gene Shie, and a brother, Rick Pooley. Service at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012 at D. O. McComb Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave. Calling from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 on Tuesday, Feb. 7. Calling also one hour prior to service. Burial in Huntertown Cemetery.
