Phyllis Arlene Cooper, born August 23, 1943 in San Antonio, TX, went to be with our Lord on November 1, 2011 at the age of 68. She is preceded in death by her father, Frank Kesei. She is survived by her loving mother, Dora Nuhn and husband Roger Nuhn; her dedicated husband, Jerry Cooper; her devoted son, Jeffrey Donaldson and his wife Marylou; her brother, Franklin Kesei; her grandsons: Geoffrey, James, and Zachery Donaldson; her granddaughters: Jessica and Zoe Donaldson and great-grandson, Jayce Miller. She served her country as a civil servant, working for 37 years as a computer programmer at the Air Intelligence Agency, Kelly AFB. She was blessed to enjoy her retirement years, going on many cruises, volunteering with the San Antonio Police Department, and with the San Antonio Rape Crisis Center, until the rigors of cancer treatment prevented her active involvement. But, while undergoing cancer treatment, she continued to volunteer with the El Rey Feo organization for many years, served on the 2009 court of El Rey Feo, and served as an active member of the San Antonio Lo Bello women's organization. These benevolent San Antonio Fund Raising Organizations provide all their funds for San Antonio Student Scholarships for which Phyllis believed in totally. The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to the entire wonderful staff at the South Texas Accelerated Research Therapeutics (START) center for all their outstanding dedicated care and loving support, and to the compassionate staff of the Oncologist ward of the Methodist Hospital. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Thrive Well Foundation Cancer Research, P.O. Box 29331, San Antonio, TX 78229 www.thrivewell.org. Services Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM Friday, November 11, 2011 with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. Graveside service will be at 8:00 AM Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
