Phyllis C. (Susskey) Dogil, 97, passed peacefully October 9, 2011. Her husband of 52 years Stanley J. Dogil passed in 1987.
She leaves one daughter, Phyllis S. Ropi and her husband Mark of Hudson; two sons, Stanley F. Dogil and his wife Gail of Grafton, Phillip D. Dogil of Norman OK; one sister, Amelia Dogil of Upton; one brother, Frank Susskey of Uxbridge; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Stanley Suski and her sister Rosalie Susskey.
Mrs. Dogil was born in East Douglas March 3, 1914 the daughter of the late Stanley and Salome (Kmicik) Susskey, raised in Uxbridge, lived 12 years in Milford and has lived in Grafton since 1998.
She worked at Uxbridge Worsted and Bernat Mills both in Uxbridge and then at Fenwal Corp. in Ashland until retiring. Mrs. Dogil was a devoted parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Uxbridge. She was also an accomplished seamstress and secretary for her son Stanley, an enthusiastic NY Yankee fan and stamp collector for many years.
Her family asks that in lieu of flowers you remember her with memorial donations to St. Mary's Church, 77 Mendon St. Uxbridge MA 01569.
Funeral Arrangements: A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Mrs. Dogil Thursday October 13th at 11 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 77 Mendon St. in Uxbridge. She will then be laid to rest with her husband in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford. There are no calling hours.
Arrangements are in the care of THE RONEY FUNERAL HOME 152 Worcester St. in North Grafton.
