I eally enjoyed getting to know your Mom. It was fun getting together and spending time with her. I especially liked hearing my Mom and yours telling their stories from the past at our lunches! It's wonderful to know she is in heaven with your Dad. :)

Who would have thought our lives would reunite in the loss of our mothers. Chassell has lost two very good people. I didn't realize your mom was an Ontonagon graduate. Certainly, Phyllis's was a life well lived. She was blessed with a great husband, wonderful children and grandchildren. I remember meeting her once when we were at your house. . .she and your Dad were industriously doing yardwork! "No drama" people who always cared for their family. What a beautiful lady! Even though we had never meant her, she is just as I pictured as you would speak of her. You can see warmth and kindness in her smile. I see where you get both your inner and outer beauty, you look like your mom.

What a beautiful picture of your Mom. That is exactly how I remember her. She always had a beautiful smile. Even though we weren't really related she always treated us like family. My last memory of Phyllis was when we came down for the twins' graduation and she was so concerned about "grandpa" when she was just beginning to feel better herself. She had a great heart. She will be missed.

We are so blessed that we were able to know your mom/grandma and see how much she enjoyed being in Florida with all of you, Carolyn, Mike, Staci and Nate. It was very obvious that love was all around! This is such a difficult loss for your whole family, and we hope your faith will help you through this time. We are here, whatever you may need. So sorry to hear about Aunt Phyllis's passing but also happy that she is now in heaven with Uncle Art and not suffering any longer. I have so many wonderful memories of my God parents but the one that stands out is them coming to Petit Jean Mountain for our first Thanksgiving as a married couple. That was over thirty years ago but we had such a good time showing the entire family around Petit Jean and sharing a taditional Thanksgiving meal together as a family and celebrating Aunt Phyllis's birthday!
