Mrs. Phyllis L. Lynch, 80, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away on Sunday January 9, 2011 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born November 6, 1930 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Arthur Peting and Lesta (Mills) Peting. Phyllis was a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary of La Porte. Phyllis loved to sew. On July 19, 1952, in La Porte, IN, she married Paul D. Lynch who preceded in death July 29, 1968. She is survived by her two daughters - Donna Lynch of La Porte, IN, Paula (Phillip) Bryant of Charles Town, WV; two sons - Tom Lynch of La Porte, IN, John Lynch of La Porte, IN; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters - Shirley Baker of Las Vegas, NV, Lorraine Keehn of La Porte, IN, Barbara Nelson of Griffith, IN; two brothers - Earl Peting of Elwood, IN, and Clifford Peting of La Porte, IN. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, Glen Peting, Vern Leach, and Bobby Leach. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. Cremation will take place. A private graveside service will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.
