Phyllis Lorraine Sinnett, 80, of Chesapeake, VA, passed away May 6, 2011, in a local hospital. She was born in Quincy, MA, and was the daughter of the late Arthur and Laura Canale Davies. Phyllis was the widow of Paul J. Sinnett. She was a homemaker and a member of the Chesapeake VFW Post 2894, American Cruisers' Club (Harley Davidson), and Lv 2 Bet Texas Hold'em Club. Her spirit is now free to swim with the dolphins she so loved. Phyllis is survived by two daughters, Debbie McGlinchey Bailey Wright of Chesapeake, VA, and Jeanette Evans Allman Watkins of Ivor, VA; two sons, William Dean Evans of Chesapeake, VA, and Robert "Bobby" Evans of Florida; five grandchildren, Jan Gibson (Tyge), Katie Bailey (Adam), Jeremy Evans and Ryan Evans, all of Chesapeake, VA, and Justin Evans of Florida; three great grandchildren, Cole Gibson, Evan Gibson and Lora Bailey, all of Chesapeake, VA; and three sisters, Marjorie Allsopp and Shirley Scoggins, both of California, and Gloria Morgan of Williamsburg, VA. The family will receive friends at Snellings Funeral Home, 1144 North George Washington Highway, Chesapeake, on Saturday, May 14th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.snellingsfuneralhome.com.
