Phyllis (Winterboer) Kettleman, age 84, of Springdale, AR passed away Friday, October 5, 2012 in Huntsville, AR.
Phyllis was born on December 3, 1927 in Sioux City, Iowa, a daughter of Rev. N.H. Batcheler and Clara Mae (Dearing) Batcheler. She married Muncie Kettleman on August 5, 1993 in Fayetteville, AR. She enjoyed volunteering at the First Presbyterian Church and the CUP Food bank in Springdale, AR and a member of two Christian womens groups. She was a trusted and respected home and office cleaner for many families and businesses in Northwest Arkansas.
Phyllis is survived by her husband of 21 years, Muncie Kettleman of the home; two daughters, Gloria Taylor and husband Jack of Bella Vista, AR and Diane Ferguson and husband Ralph of Fayetteville, AR; four grandchildren, John Taylor (Jill), Jennifer Goodin(Adam), Aaron Taylor and Amy Davidson; 17 great grandchildren; two step-daughters, Mancy and Betty; one brother, Wesley Batcheler of Bronaugh, MO; and one sister, Alliene Stierwalt of Wilksbough, NC; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service will be held 11:00am on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at the First Presbyterian Church in Springdale, AR with Pastor Stewart Smith officiating. Memorials can be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, 614 E. Emma Ave. Fayetteville AR or First Presbyterian Church 100 S. Gutensohn Rd. Springdale, AR
Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00pm on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale, AR. Online guestbook at www.backstrom-pyeatte.com
