PNCM Thomas P. Cannon, Sr., USN (retired), 67, of the 2500 block of Maymont Ct., Virginia Beach, VA, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2011. Thomas was born in Fayetteville, NC and was a U. S. Navy veteran of Vietnam. He was a member of VFW Post 392. He is survived by his son, Thomas P. Cannon, Jr.; two granddaughters, Taylor and Bailey Cannon; two brothers, Bruce and Austin Cannon; two sisters, Judy Canady and Bobbie Jean Stewart. He was predeceased by his father, George Cannon. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel from 7 to 9 p.m. Burial will be at sea by the U.S. Navy at a later date.
