Porfirio "Paul" Medina, 95, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2011. Porfirio was born to Epimenio Medina and Margarita Archuleta in Penasco, NM. He moved to Colorado and eventually ended up in Thorrington, WY. Porfirio worked most of his life in the construction industry and ended his career working in a sugar factory. Before his passing, he enjoyed fishing and camping. Porfirio was preceded in death by his mother and father, Epimenio and Margarita Medina of Penasco, NM; daughter, Margaret S. Medina of Santa Fe, NM; Companion Lucy Gutierrez or Albuquerque, NM; brother, Delfino Medina of Penasco, NM;. Porfirio is survived by his sister, Onesima Gonzales of Penasco; brother, Demetrio Medina of Los Lentes, NM; grandson, Adam P. Medina of Santa Fe, NM; great-grandsons, Marcos and Michael Medina both of Santa Fe and many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Rosary will be recited on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Jude Thaddeus Church located at 5712 Paradise Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM, 87114. Funeral mass will follow the reciting of the Rosary, at 2:30 p.m. Interment will follow the funeral mass at Sunset Memorial Park located at 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107. Pallbearers are Marcos Medina, Michael Medina, Jerry Gonzales, Patrick Medina, Pete Vigil and Guadalupe Garcia.
