Im sincerly sorry for your loss. I myself can relate to the pain your going through, about six years ago i lost my german shepard Shultz,although i knew that he had athritis,hip and ear problems and at the old age of 13 i was just not ready to let go, one day while i was getting ready to go to school i herd an awful yelp, it was him he couln't even walk. This was it, i thought to myself

This was it, i thought to myself i cant be selfish anymore, i had to do the humane thing and i let him go, Ive been around dogs my whole lfe and very few get to die in there owners arms,i think if anything as heartbroken as i was it gave me alittle piece of mind to know that I was there,and he wasnt alone so the next time your thinking about her, think of how at ease she was knowing you where there, and eventhough its hurts now and its probably lonely in your house without her shes no longer suffering, and just like her we will all one day be called home and she'll be waiting with her tail waggin".
