R.M. "Dick" King - 4-28-35- to-12-3-10 Born in Santa Monica Ca. to Col. Richard F. King and Janice Lauer King.

Sister Gwen, Brother Edgar (Ed). Raised in Brentwood Ca., Educated at Urban Military Academy, University High, West Point, USMA.

Dick dearly loved all animals (especially his dogs, Blackie, Snuggles, Shadow & Truffles, among many others) sports (any & all, but especially local), people (everyone he met was a friend), music of all kinds, cars (there was never one built he didn’t know something about), and his RPM, the company he built from a small sales agency and engine parts warehouse and dearly loved. In 2000 RPM was sold to his son Rick and wife Starr who have continued his insight and zest for good business. He was an avid golfer, Sun Angel, President of Automotive Booster B51, Board of PERA, PAS, AWOA, AISA, AWDA, AERA and a member of The Elks and The Kiva Club for many years. His automotive aftermarket career started in ‘59 at Blakely Oil for 3 years, where he was a cherished “other son”, Federal Mogul for 10 years, Owner of RPM for 30 years, and with Star Distributing for 4 more. He was a staunch Republican, a proud member of NRA and deeply felt his politics, he always contributed to every non-profit agency he possibly could, feeling that charity was at the heart of all good people.

He was proceeded in death by his father (1958) and mother (1957). He married Denise in 1958 and had 3 children, Richard B. King (Starr), Suzanne Swisher, and Scott Edgar King (deceased 1963). He was also married to Bobbie for 24 yrs. He truly loved his 6 grandchildren - Cody, Melody, Shad, Harmony, Bret, Shawn, and his 2 great grand children Ayden, Tatum.

He was a really good guy and we all loved him very much.
