Rise Linda Scharf, 65, died March 23, 2011 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart.
Born in Oceanport, NJ, she moved to Stuart in 1999 coming from Palm Beach Gardens, where she had resided since 1992, moving there from San Diego.
She was an artist and had worked in telecommunication sales.
She attended Unity Church in Stuart.
She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma; she received her BA degree in Psychology from Miami University (Ohio) and her Masters degree in Corporate Communications from Fairfield University (CT).
Survivors include her husband of 19 years, Peter G. Scharf of Stuart; daughters, Linda Karel Kightlinger of Roland, OK; Kristine Marie Kainer of Georgetown, TX; son, Michael Peter Scharf of Raleigh, NC; brothers, Steve Hinz of California; Garth Hinz of Mount Crawford, VA: seven grandchildren, Zachary Ryan Hallbauer; Anthony John Hallbauer; Adam Lee Kightlinger; Michael Allen Kightlinger; Matthew Scharf; Andrew Scharf; Victoria Kainer; and one great granddaughter, Brooklyn Jade Hallbauer.
IN lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 SE Indian St., Stuart, FL 34997.
SERVICES: A Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 2 PM to 4 PM, March 26, 2011 at Forest Hills Funeral Homes Young and Prill Chapel in Stuart with a Remembrance Service at 4 PM.
