HANCOCK
Rachel A. Jutila, 64, a resident of the Arbor Green Apartments and former Hancock resident passed away Monday afternoon April 4, 2005, at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility in Hancock where she had been a resident patient since this past January.
She was born on December 10, 1940, in Iowa City, Iowa, a daughter of the late Forest and Dena Mae (Rivers) Kilburn.
On January 16, 1971 she was united in marriage to Werner "Eppie" Jutila and has resided in Hancock since that time. He preceded her in death in 2000.
Rachel had worked from home and was a well known Daycare provider in the area. She loved working with children.
Mrs. Jutila was a long time member of the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church of Hancock.
Surviving are;
2 Sons: Edwin (Gina) Jutila of Atlantic Mine
Branden Jutila of Standish. MI

2 Daughters: Laura Denny of Gwinn, MI
Tracy (Andre) Harrell of Wichita, KS
3 Grandchildren:
Wayne, Devont'e, and Devreon
1 Sister:
Mary Furnald of Iowa
Several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services for Rachel will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday April 7, 2005, in the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock with Rev. Jimalee Jones to officiate. Spring burial will be in the Jacobsville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 12 Noon until time of services.
