Raleigh Edward Osborne Sr., 79, of Wylliesburg, VA, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2012. He is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Myrtle Osborne; two sons, Raleigh Edward Osborne Jr., (Teresa), and John William Osborne (Stacey). He is also survived by four grandsons, Will, Travis, Dylan, Colton Osborne; one step-granddaughter, Madison Ragan; one brother, Garland Osborne (Lillian); and numerous nieces and nephews. Raleigh served in the United States Army and was a graduate of the University of Richmond. He was the owner of McGuire Lumber & Supply, Inc., a farmer, cattleman, and charter member of the Bacon District Fire Department. He was a very caring and generous person, who gave to others expecting nothing in return. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hebron United Methodist Church. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 10, 2012, in Hebron United Methodist Church, with interment to follow in the church cemetery, Saxe, VA. The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, on Monday, July 9, 2012, from 7 to 8 p.m. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, is in charge of arrangements.
