Funeral services for Ralph Brunson, 81, of Richmond, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 26, 2010 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg. Ralph was born July 7, 1929 in Dale County, Alabama to Horace "Dock" and Coreene Brunson. He was a retired Master Sergeant with the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the American Legion Post #271. After his military career, Ralph worked and retired from the Texas Department of Corrections. He passed away July 21, 2010 in Houston. He is preceded in death by his parents, Horace "Dock" and Coreene Brunson; and brothers, Eual Brunson and Jimmy Brunson. Ralph is survived by his wife of 31 years, Joyce (Shepherd) Brunson of Richmond; son, Tim Brunson and wife, Annie, of Oxford, AL; daughters, Lyn Carter and husband, Al, of Des Moines, IA and Melissa Hamilton and husband, Thomas, of Austin; step sons, Donny McKinney and wife, Kathy of Navasota; Bobby McKinney and wife, Sharon, of Rosenberg; along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. For those wishing, memorials may be made in Ralph's name to First Baptist Church, 502 S. 5th St, Richmond, Texas 77469.
