Mr. Ralph Dwayne Maxwell, Sr., age 73 of McDonough, Georgia passed away November 5, 2011. He was born in Rome, Georgia to the late Claude Marion and Vassie Estelle Ingram Maxwell. He was preceded in death by a brother, Claude Marion Maxwell, Jr. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps and the United States Air Force. He retired after 36 years with Nabisco and was a member of Crossroads Ministries. He enjoyed time with his grandchildren and classic cars. Survivors include his wife of nearly 52 years, Lillian Thacker Maxwell; children, Melanie (Bob) Sirignano of Powder Springs, Ralph Dwayne Maxwell, Jr. of Cornelia, Jennifer Maxwell of McDonough, Jeff (Amie) Maxwell of McDonough; grandchildren, Tiffany (Bryan) Sirignano-Banks of Tallahassee, FL, Matthew Sirignano of Powder Springs, Jacob Maxwell of Cornelia, Justin Fincher, Lee, Joseph and Nicolas Maxwell all of McDonough; siblings, Leroy (Lottie) Maxwell, Bill (Carol) Maxwell all of Nebraska, Elsie (Bob) Boswell of Mississippi, Bob (Sheila) Maxwell of Jonesboro; numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at 2:00 PM from the Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park. Pastor Mark Turner and Pastor David Morris will officiate. Friends may visit the family Tuesday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Contributions are asked to be made to Crossroads Ministries in memory of Ralph.
