Ralph Wallace Burton, Sr., 81, of Calhoun Falls, husband of the late Sandra Burton, died peacefully Thursday, April 28, 2011, at his home. Mr. Burton was born in Anderson County to the late Willie G. and Amy Jackson Burton. He was retired from West Point Pepperell Mill in Calhoun Falls after many years of dedicated service and served in the United States Army. Mr. Burton attended Northside Baptist Church in Calhoun Falls. Mr. Burton was first married to the late Margene Timms Burton. He is survived by three sons, Ralph Burton, Jr., David ï¿½Crockeyï¿½ Burton, and Steve ï¿½Sealï¿½ Burton; four daughters, Debbie Burton McCray, Teresa Burton Miller, Janet Burton Wilson, and Amy Burton Bowens; two brothers, David ï¿½Redï¿½ Burton and Jack Burton; two sisters, Betty Ann Richey and Beatrice Shiflet; eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 11:00AM to 12:30PM on Monday, May 2, 2011 at Harris Funeral Home. Graveside services will begin at 1:00PM on Monday in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Abbeville.
