Randy Willis of Lubbock died Monday, September 20, 2010. Randy was born June 6, 1951 to Earl and Catherine Willis in Sanger, TX. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1969, where he met his wife, Jackie Daniels, and earned a Bachelor’s in Music from Abilene Christian University in 1973. He married Jackie May 26, 1973. He was a band director for 36 years,

sharing his love of music with students at schools all over West Texas, including Plains, Lubbock-Cooper, Olton, Littlefield, Spearman, and others. He was employed by Whiteface ISD

as the assistant director, and loved the administration there very much. He was a teacher and mentor who was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Catherine Willis. Survivors include his wife;

daughter and son-in-law, Brandi & David Schreiber of Lubbock; father, Earl Willis of Keller; sister, Sandra Isler of Keller; and two nephews and their families.

At the time of death, he donated his organs to LifeGift, helping an estimated 50 people.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 25, 2010 at South Plains Church of Christ with Minister Dan McCasland and Principal James German officiating. Burial will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery. Viewing will be available Friday, September 24 at Sanders Funeral Home.
