Ray was born July 9, 1944 to George W. and Elsie Cleveland Foggle in Mississippi. Ray and his family moved to the Lyons, Texas area in 1980, during the oil rush. He was self-employed as a contract oil pumper. He fell in love with the area and never left. He was active in the community through Little League Baseball and also served as president of the Somerville Athletic Boosters in 1985. Ray had been an active supporter for the Relay For Life for seven years. He was honored as survivor of the year in 2010, after battling both skin and colon cancer. Ray will be remembered by everyone who had the honor of meeting him and having him in their life. He was a Christian, loving husband, caring daddy and uncle, and a wonderful Pawpaw. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 3207 Briarcrest, Bryan, Texas 77802, or Hospice Brazos Valley, 302 E. Blue Bell Road, Brenham, Texas 77833.
