Rayford E. Moore, Sr., 73, husband of the late Juanita C. Moore, died Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at the Hospice House in Greenwood. He was born in Abbeville to the late James H. and Maude Lee Alewine Moore. Mr. Moore was a 1958 graduate of Abbeville High School. He retired from the Milliken Abbeville Plant after 40 years of service and served as the Abbeville County Court House Bailiff for many years. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Light House Baptist Church. Mr. Moore served in the S.C. National Guard for 9 years. Surviving Mr. Moore are his two daughters, Cindy Tucker and her husband Mike and Shelly Timms both of Abbeville; two sons, Calvin Moore and his wife Angela of Laurens and Ray Moore, Jr. and his wife Tammy of Abbeville; a brother, Harold Moore of Florence, SC; ten grandchildren, Mrs. Chase (Brooke) Brown, Mrs. Ricky (Kayla) Hammond, Mr. Jonathan 'Munk' (Lea) Partain, Kristen L. Partain, Jonathan E. Moore, Ashley M. Timms, Kortney A. Timms, Sarah E. Moore, David A. Moore and Jacob A. Moore; four great-grandchildren, Bentley Cruze Timms, Ella Brooke Brown, Bethany Grace Hammond and Kayleigh Rose Stewart. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Harris Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 3:00PM Friday, March 16, 2012 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Long Cane Cemetery. The family is at 908 Kay Rd.
