Raymond "Tiny" Bockman, 71, 9151 11th Road, Plymouth, Indiana, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2011, at 6:04 a.m., at Elkhart Hospice House, Elkhart, Indiana. Ray was born on November 30, 1939, in Decorah, Iowa, to Aloysius and Martha (Cohen) Bockman. He moved to Plymouth when he was about three years old. Ray was a graduate of Plymouth High School. He married, the former, Joyce Taylor, on October 26, 1963, in Plymouth, at Saint Michael Catholic Church. Ray worked and retired from N.I.P.S.C.O. He owned Bockman Salvage Yard, was a member of Saint Michael Catholic Church, S.O.A.R., and TAC (Tax Awareness Committee). He enjoyed attending city and county political meetings. Ray collected model trains, stamps, coins, and cars. He served in the Army with the National Guard of Indiana. Ray is survived by his wife, Joyce Bockman, their daughters, Jill (Don) McAfee of Elkhart, Indiana and Shelley Bockman of Plymouth; his granddaughter, Merissa McAfee of Elkhart; and his brother, John (Glenda) Bockman of Plymouth.
