Raymond Barber March 12, 1919 - November 28, 2011 Raymond Barber of Corsicana passed away Monday, November 28, 2011, at Navarro Regional Hospital. Services will be 1:30 p.m., Thursday, December 1, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Bro. Jerry "Bo" Loftis officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 30, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Raymond was born March 12, 1919, in Marlin, Texas, to Dan and Addie Barber. After his service during WWII, he worked at James Connally Air Force Base and retired from the Waco VA Regional Hospital. He had his own landscaping business until five years ago. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and loved the outdoors. Everyone called him "PePaw". Raymond was a long time member of Bellmead Calvary Baptist Church, and more recently, a member of The Word Church in Corsicana. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 50 years, Bobbie Lucille Barber; and all his siblings. He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Harthcock and husband, David; his two sons, Donnie Barber; and Kenneth Barber, Sr. and wife, Linda; ten grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers are Richard Stahr, Robert Stahr, Kenneth Barber Jr., Anthony McRae, Benjamin Barber and Daniel Gommard. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
