Raymond Boyd Solomon age 62 of Dallas, Texas passed away November 17, 2011. Mr. Raymond Boyd Solomon-Johnson, well known as "Duck" was born in Ferris, Texas, on January 20, 1949, to the parentage of Ruby Faye Johnson and Frank Solomon.

Raymond accepted Christ at an early age at the Quall's Chapel United Methodist Church, in Ferris, Texas, now named God's Kingdom United Methodist Church, under the leadership of Pastor J.R. Carruthers. Raymond attended elementary, middle and graduated from Dunbar High School in Ferris, Texas, in 1967.

Raymond moved to Dallas, Texas, in his early adult life and later he became a member of the Bridge to Life Church under the leadership of Minister Jiles R. King, whom is also his first cousin. Raymond served faithfully at the Bridge of Life Church and was a member of the Male Chorus. He will be greatly missed by the Bridge to Life Church Family. His job here on earth was completed and was called home on Thursday, November 17, 2011.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby F. Jones and Frank Solomon; two loving grandmother's that nurtured him most of his life, Mrs. Ophelia Johnson and Mrs. Madie Parker; one loving uncle, Mr. Earnest L. Johnson; and a brother, Earnest L. Jones.

Raymond leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Barbara Johnson; two daughters, Shanita Smith-Russell and Lakaita Smith, of Dallas, Texas; one son, Frank Solomon of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren, Breshunna Bell, Kiarra Randle, Desmond Ward, Lateria Edwards; three siblings, Ezzard Charles Jones of Dallas, Texas, Robert Earl Jones (Rose) of Dallas, Texas, and Paul Wesley Jones of Ferris, Texas; two goddaughters, Jayla and Crystal; three godsons, Ayden Riser, Tuzavion and Lil James of Dallas, Texas; mother-in-law, Lurlie Roberson; nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives throughout the United States, who loved him dearly.
