Raymond W. Sorg, 82, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2011 at his home in Fort Wayne. Born in Hoagland, IN, Raymond worked as a Test Driver Mechanic with Navistar for 32 years, retiring in 1982. He was an Army Korean War Veteran and member of American Legion Post #296; Forty and Eight; V.F.W. Post 10006. Surviving are his Spouse, Marilyn R. (Mattes) Sorg of 58 years, Ft Wayne, son, Timothy L. (Jacqueline) Sorg of Churubusco, son, Randall R. Sorg of Fort Wayne, daughter, Lori M,. (Mark) Miller of Fort Wayne, grandchildren, Matthew, Luke and Meaghan Sorg, Theresa and Benjamin Miller, brothers, Hubert J. (Loretta) Sorg of New Haven, Carl J. (Theresa) Sorg of Monroeville, sisters, Gertrude Wyss, Ruth Anne (Bernard) Lothamer both of Fort Wayne, Joan Smith of Convoy, OH, Dorothy Brown of Frankfort, MI. Raymond was preceded in death by parents, Stephen & Florence Sorg, Mass of Christian Burial is 11:00 AM, Thursday June 23, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hessen Cassel with Fr. Thomas Lombardi officiating and calling 1 hr. prior. Additional calling at - D.O. McComb and Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Ave. Wednesday, June 22, 2011 2:00 pm - 9:00 pm with Rosary at 8:30 PM. Burial with Military Honors in St. Joseph Hessen Cassel Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne, IN. Memorials may be made to the Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, or for Masses..
