Mrs. Rebecca Timmons Smith

Our dear Rebecca Timmons Smith passed away January 22, 2012. She was born in Bastrop, Louisiana on September 28, 1926; and was married to Elston L. Smith until his death in 1983. Rebecca, "Gagaw", was raised in rural Louisiana and moved to New Orleans in 1943, with her family seeking a better life. She met and married Elston after WWII. She never lost her country charm, pure love and unselfishness. She was loved and adored by all that knew her. Now in heaven, with a kitty on her lap and a hot cup of tea in hand. She will always be remembered by her sister Rosemary Timmons Loumiet; sons Timothy and Scott Smith; daughter Susan "Tooty" Gregory; granddaughters Brittany, Sami, Lexie and Leah "3P"; grandsons TJ, Dillon "Sugarfoot" and Cameron "SBS"; nieces Amy "Moo", Robin "Riverit", Edith "Poonie" and Rebecca "Oolie".
A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 28th at 12:30PM at Greenwood Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to attend.
