TREMBATH, REDINA JOSEPHINE (nee CONROW) Of Waterford, MI. (formerly of Mt. Clemens) passed away after a short illness on January 3rd, 2013 at the age of 86. She was born in Royal Oak on July 13, 1926; daughter of Albert and Catherine Josephine (nee Pogue) Conrow. Redina is survived by her beloved husband, the Rev. Jack G. Trembath of 66 years; brother, Henry B. Conrow of Alger, MI. Redina was the mother of John C.Trembath (RUTH) of Toronto, Ontario; Marcia Dyer (Mike) of Waterford; Valerie Oatley (Brian-deceased) of Ann Arbor and the loving grandmother of Garrett, Rhea, Jack, Devon, Alex, Thomas, Allison, Scott and Daniel (deceased); and great-grandmother to 13 children who will miss the guidance of their grandmother. Redina was an accomplished, award-winning artist and very instrumental in being a founding member of THE MT. CLEMENS ART ASSOCIATION, later becoming president. She was a very active member of ST. MICHAEL'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH, where she worked in the THRIFT SHOP, was a member of the Episcopal Church Women and wherever else her many talents could be utilized. Redina and Jack were also very active members of GRACE EPISCOPAL CHURCH in Mt. Clemens working on the PEACE MOVEMENT and Redina's involvement for over ten years being a SELECTIVE SERVICE COUNSELOR. She also was the PRESIDENT of the DIOCESAN ECW organization for three years. Redina was a volunteer docent at the DETROIT ART INSTITUTE and was a facilitator of "ART TO THE SCHOOLS" , also through the DIA. Redina retired from the Macomb County Health dept as a VISION TECHNICIAN in the Macomb County School Districts. For recreation, Redina enjoyed travel, and her favorite tool of choice was a road map. They thoroughly enjoyed all of the states except HAWAII which they didn't get to visit..the most memorable trips were to ALASKA, GUADALAJARA and a B&B tour in EUROPE. Redina was an avid reader, a seamstress , square dancer and a very good bridge player. Redina and Jack just recently relocated to Waterford to enjoy their new condo. there is more of Redina's involvement that can't even be brought to memory at this time. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 5th from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack, at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. She will lie instate on Sunday from 1:00 pm until the time of the funeral at 2:00 pm at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 20475 Sunningdale Park, Grosse Pointe Woods. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church.
