Mrs. Retha Stephenson McCauley age 97, of McDonough, GA passed away October 13, 2011. Mrs. McCauley was born in Polk County, TN the daughter of the late Seymore Oscar and Mary Elizabeth Burnett Stephenson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Edward McCauley; and children, Jack Edward McCauley, Billy Ray McCauley and Jimmy Lynn McCauley. Mrs. McCauley was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed spending time with family and friends, bowling, playing cards and entertaining. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Alcoa, TN. Survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Richard Young of McDonough; grandchildren, Elizabeth Marquis, Paige Giltmier, Anita Wilson, Jimmy McCauley, Sue Livingston, and Terry Anderson; and 8 great grandchildren. The family would also like to recognize and thank the loving care givers at Westbury Nursing and Rehab in McDonough. Funeral service for Mrs. McCauley will be Saturday, October 15, 2011 – 2:00 PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Statham officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will be Sunday, October 16, 2011 – 1:00 PM at Grandview Cemetery in Maryville, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association Georgia Chapter, 41 Perimeter Center East, Atlanta, Georgia 30346.
