Rhunette "Smitty" Gregory
Greenville, SC

Rhunette Smith "Smitty" Gregory, 88, of 112 Gallivan St., passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2011.

Born August 20, 1923 in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Walter Lee and Eliza Mary Ergle Smith.

Mrs. Gregory was a secretary and bookkeeper for Hunting & Guerry Electric Company and also Graham Photo.

She was a member of White Oak Baptist Church.

She was predeceased by three sisters: Mary S. Hooper, Annie Lou Potter and Virginia S. Tucker and four brothers: John W. Smith, Jesse C. Smith, Harry Lee Smith and Joe E. Smith.

Surviving is her husband, William L. "Bill" Gregory; a sister, Winton S. McAvoy and a brother, M. A. "Tony" Smith, both of Greenville and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at The Mackey Mortuary with Rev. Gerald Roper officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 10:00 until 10:45 AM at the mortuary.
