Richard A. Myers, Sr., 67, of Stillwater Township, died Monday, July 26, 2010, at home. Born in Newton, Mr. Myers was raised in Walpack and has been a long time resident of Stillwater Township. He was a Mill Foreman at Sussex Agway, retiring after 33 years of service. A United States Army veteran, Mr. Myers served in Vietnam where he was the recipient of many medals. Mr. Myers was an avid hunter and was a member of the Rosenkrantz Hunting Club. The son of the late Frank and Myrtle F. Jones Myers, Mr. Myers was also predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Frankie Myers. He is survived by two children: Richard A. Myers, Jr., and April Myers Southard, both of Dingmans Ferry, Pennsylvania; three brothers, Russell Myers of Montague, Nelson Myers of Blairstown, and Emmitt Myers of Blairstown; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the Wood Funeral Home, 16 Main Street, Branchville. Interment will follow in Branchville Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250.
