Richard D. Burns, age 44, of The Hideout, Lake Ariel, and formerly of Taylor, passed away Monday at home. He is survived by his wife, Michele Kovach Burns. Wed on May 24, 1991, the couple were married 20 years. Born in Albany, Georgia, on March 30, 1967, he was the son of Richard and step-mother Colleen Burns of Madison Twp., and Annmarie Buchholz of American Fork, Utah. A graduate of Riverside High School, Class of 1985, he worked in distribution for Crossmark Co. A Veteran, he served as a sergeant for the Military Police in the U.S Army. An avid reader of science fiction books and a fisherman who enjoyed riding his motorcycle, he will be dearly missed. He is also survived by his only child, Sarah Burns of Moosic, a brother, Kevin Burns of Madison Twp. and two sisters, Kelly Burns of Madison Twp. and Carrie Simpson and husband Russell of American Fork, Utah. Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Saturday between 5-7:00PM at the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge.
