MILLERSBURG- Richard D, "Danny" Matter II, 60, of Pine Street , passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Hershey Medical Center, due to a motorcycle accident on route 147, near Millersburg earlier last week. He was born in Harrisburg, April 29, 1950, son of Richard D. and Betty Jean (Shiffer) Matter. He was a veteran of the Army Reserve. He had worked in the past for the Millersburg Area Authority, Water and Sewer. as a Plant Manager. He had memberships with the VFW Post 5507, Millersburg; Millersburg Moose 59; American Legion , Steven R. Day, Post 326; Erdman Sportsmans Association and the Lower Mahanoy Fire Co. Survivors including his parents are, brother, Terry L. and his wife Marcia; Sister, Debra K, and her husband Dennis Rich; Several Nieces and Nephews and Great Nieces and Nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 25, 2010 from 1-2 PM at his church. Memorial services starting at 2 PM. Donations can be made to: Zion Lutheran Church, P.O.Box 415, Millersburg, PA 17061 Hoover-Boyer Funeral Homes - Millersburg, handled the arrangements.
