Richard C. Browne passed peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on February 7, 2012. He is now with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was born in August 19, 1927 in Elyria, OH. After graduating from Elyria High School in 1945 he received a football scholarship and was an All-American fullback while attending Wittenberg University in Springfield, OH. He served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. He finished his degree in Education at the University of Miami, Coral Gables, FL. Dick married his high school sweetheart, Bonnie Lou Black, on August 21, 1949. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Phyllis Browne of Elyria, OH. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Bonnie; sister, Nancy; brother, John; his four children, Ricky (Debra), Kris (Jim), Jenny (Jeff), Molly (Jeff), his 10 beloved grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Mr. Browne was an early visionary of the potential growth of the Central Florida area. He purchased Kirby Rental Service in 1964 and enjoyed the fruits of his labor. His great joys were his family, friends, his world travels and vacation home in the Cayman Islands. He was a man who lived well enjoyed life and loved much.
