Richard Earl Cole - Obituary

Richard Earl Cole, 80, of Mesquite, TX was born to Clyde H. and Mildred Lander Cole in Dallas, Texas on June 29, 1931. He passed away Thursday, June 30, 2011, quietly and peacefully, surrounded by his family.

Richard was preceded in death by his son, Bryan Cole, parents and brothers Clyde H. Cole, Jr. and David C. Cole. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Pat Cole, daughter, Jean Kay Cole, sisters-in-law Jane Cole and Helen Cole and numerous nieces and nephews.

Richard served four years in the United States Navy after graduating from high school. He had a lengthy career in the Savings & Loan industry proudly serving the communities of Cleburne, Bonham and Mesquite.

He was a member of the First Christian Church of Mesquite, TX.

The family will receive friends Monday, July 4th from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at the Anderson Clayton Funeral Home in Mesquite, TX. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 5th at 10:00am, also at Anderson Clayton Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Laurel Oaks Cemetery in Mesquite.
