Lincoln – MacNeil, Richard E., 62, of Albion Road, died Thursday, October 8 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of Helen (Willett) MacNeil. Born in Dorchester, MA, a son of the late Edward L. and Grace (Harris) MacNeil, he had lived in Cranston prior to moving to Lincoln in 2006. Mr. MacNeil was a member of the Edgewood Yacht Club, and a former member of the Rhode Island Yacht Club. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and later, a Naval Reserve. Besides his wife, he is survived by one sister, Cynthia Albrecht of Pass Christian, MS, and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Jean Morse. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 12 at 11:00 a.m. in Union Cemetery, Great Road (Rt. 146A), North Smithfield. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Sunday, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at BELLOWS-FALSO FUNERAL CHAPEL, 160 River Road, Lincoln. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to the RISPCA, 186 Amaral Street, Riverside, RI 02915, or a contribution of a pint of blood to a local blood bank, would be appreciated.
