MILLBURY: Richard F. Gabree, 70, passed May 29, 2011 after battling cancer. He leaves his wife of 48 years Janet C. (Carlstrom) Gabree, two daughters, Cheryl A. Vecchio and her husband David, Christine M. Marden and her husband Stephen all of Millbury. Five grandchildren, Michael and Kayla Vecchio, Keith, Danielle and Matthew Marden, several cousins including Robert and Ronald Breault who Mr. Gabree grew up with and many nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester September 12, 1940 the son of the late Adelard "Max" Gabree and Ann E. (Richard) Gabree. He grew up in Grafton and Worcester and has lived in Millbury for 42 years. Mr. Gabree was a Journeyman Plumber and Pipefitter with Local # 537 Boston Plumbers and Pipefitters for 50 years retiring in 1998. He was a parishioner of St. Brigid Catholic Church, a member of The Class of 1959 at Worcester Boys Trade High School and he served in The US Navy from 1959 to 1964. Richard loved his family, keeping his home and yard and enjoyed sports particularly The Boston Bruins. Funeral & Calling Hours The funeral will be Wednesday June 1st from THE RONEY FUNERAL HOME 152 Worcester St. North Grafton followed by the celebration of a Funeral Mass at 10 am in St. Brigid Catholic Church 59 Main St. in Millbury. He will then be laid to rest in West Millbury Cemetery. All are invited to calling hours Tuesday May 31st from 5 to 8 pm at The Roney Funeral Home in North Grafton.
