Richard Gomez, age 75, of Austin passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2012. He was born on Monday, April 6, 1936 to Ned and Mary Louise Gomez in San Antonio, Texas. He was U.S. Air Force Retired and retired State Employee.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Matilde Gomez; three children, Fernando, Hector, Terry; four grandchildren, Leanna, Marissa, Daniela, Lathan; siblings, Mary Louise Samaro, Rose Marie Funari.

The Gomez family would like to express their deepest appreciation to Dr. Manuel Martin and Hospice Austin for their assistance in his care.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Weed-Corley-Fish, 2620 South Congress. Funeral Service 2:00 pm Friday, February 3, 2012 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas.
