Richard H. Berry, 77, passed away peacefully May 24, 2011 following an illness. He leaves his devoted son Michael Berry and his wife Kathy of Grafton, his daughter Janet Berry of Las Vegas, NV, brother Robert Berry and his wife Jean of Worcester and sister Grace Fulginiti of Shrewsbury and several nieces and nephews. His brother Edward Berry and sisters Mabel Cicilio, Dorothy Pogarek, Bea Singer, Irene Katz and his former wife Patricia (McNally) Berry predeceased him. Richard was born September 3, 1933 in Worcester, son of the late Rella (Mayo) and Stephen H. Berry. He grew up in Worcester and worked for many years as a truck driver at Whitings Milk Co., Table Talk Pies and Nissen Bread before retiring in 1996. Richard was active throughout his life and retirement. He loved to play golf or pool with his son Michael or cards with his many friends. Always a competitor, Richard loved to win no matter what the game might have been. Richard also loved to travel, taking memorable trips to Myrtle Beach with his son Michael and daughter-in-law Kathy. He also enjoyed trips to the casino in Foxwoods and Las Vegas. People who knew Richard will remember a simple, hard-working man who found joy in keeping active doing the things he loved with his friends. In lieu of flowers his family requests memorial contributions to Bolton Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center c/o Activities Fund 400 Bolton St. Marlborough MA 01752 where he received outstanding care. CALLING HOURS & FUNERAL SERVICE All are invited to calling hours for Richard Friday May 27th from 10-11:00am at RONEY FUNERAL HOME in North Grafton which will be followed by a funeral service at 11:00am at the funeral home. He will then be laid to rest at Pine Grove Cemetery in North Grafton.
