BARONE Richard J. Barone, age 60, passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 1, 2012. Born in Astoria, Queens on June 20, 1952 to Rose and Carmine Barone, he is survived by his wife Janet, his two daughters Marisa and Richelle, and his sister Sue Barone. He graduated from University of Rhode Island in 1974 and made his lifelong career in sales. Rich was known for his genuine love for people and his sense of humor which permeated every aspect of his life. He will be remembered as a loving father, a devoted husband, an active member of First Church Congregational, a girls' softball coach, an avid golfer, a diehard Yankee fan, a hard worker, and a friend to all. A funeral service will be held Thursday, September 6, 2012 at 11 am at First Church Congregational, 148 Beach Road, Fairfield. Burial will be private. Friends may call on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 from 4-8pm in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield, CT. Donations in honor of Rich's memory, for the benefit of Fairfield Little League Girls' Softball, P.O. Box 264, Fairfield, CT, 06824.
