A Funeral Service for Richard Garcia, 61, of Hockley, Texas is set for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Frenstat, with Father Brion Zarsky officiating. Interment will follow at the Holy Rosary Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 9-11 am Saturday Dec. 3, 2011 at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell. Mr. Garcia passed away November 28th in Houston, Texas. Pallbearers will be Michael LaFountain, Tony Spangle, Tighe Mowbray, Mark Kos, Cliff "Buck" Faught, and John Dimon. Honorary pallbearers will be Mr. Garcia's grandchildren. Richard was born September 9, 1950 to Manuel Garcia and Marion (Lyons) Garcia, in Canton, Ohio. He served his country in the United States Navy. Richard is survived by his son Michael LaFountain of Caldwell; daughters, Melissa Spangle of Brenham, Rachel Mowbray of Deanville, Robyn Dimon of Caldwell, Cassie Garcia of Hasting, Nebraska; sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara & John Ley of Canton, Ohio, Rose & Dino Russo of Canton, Ohio, Diana & Edward Paumier of Canton, Ohio; grandchildren, Phillip LaFountain, Palin Spangle, Tanis Spangle, Allianna Spangle, Thomas Dimon, Paige Dimon, Andi LaFountain, Emma Spangle, Anna LaFountain, Paul Mowbray, Bradley Mowbray; nieces and nephews, Patricia Frim, Paula Sauser, Todd King, Stephanie Dornhecker, Kristen Paumier, and Jennifer Paumier. He was preceded in death by his parents.
