Richard Paul HufferRichard Paul Huffer 79, Mooresville, Indiana, died Friday June 26, 2009. He was born March 9, 1930 in Dowaijac, Michigan to Charles and Irene Huffer. Mr. Huffer was a firefighter at Warren Township Fire Department for 30 years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was discharged in 1953. Mr. Huffer was a member of Bridgeport United Methodist Church, Bridgeport Masonic Lodge (Past Master 94), # 162, Bridgeport Chapter O.E.S. 513, Scottish Rite, lifetime member of Bridgeport Volunteer Fire Department and lifetime member of the Indiana Volunteer Firefighters Association. Memorial contributions may be made to the Masonic Home, Franklin, Indiana or American Kidney Foundation. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2009 in Conkle Funeral Home, Avon Chapel, with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 29, 2009. Burial will be in Lincoln Memory Gardens Cemetery, Whitestown, Indiana. Survivors include wife, Shirley F. Edwards Huffer; sons, Ken (Toni), Keith (Carol), Bill (Cindy), Richard A. and Tommy (Patty) Huffer; brothers, Marvin and Harold Huffer; granddaughters, Christine Waggoner, Frances Sandlin and Nicole Huffer; grandsons, David, William, Dennis, Joshua, Dustin and Jacob Huffer; great-grandson, Eli Sandlin; extended family, Larry (Paulette), David and Phillip Steinle, Tracy Carson, Lauren and Megan Fleming.
