Mr. Richard R. Auretta. A resident of Mobile for the past 40 years, died at home on Tuesday February 22, 2011. He arrived in Mobile as a successful photographer. He worked his way up from bartender to bar owner, owning Patches Lounge and co-owner of Jack O’Diamonds. Mr. Auretta was founder of the Joker’s Wild”, Mardi Gras organization and a founding member of “The Conde Cavaliers.”
Survivors include Deborah L. Wilson and his grandson John J. Palladino of Massachusetts. Mr. Auretta is well loved in the Mobile and surrounding areas, and request a party in remembrance of his life at Patches Lounge following the funeral services at Pine Crest.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5 until 7 PM at Pine Crest.
Funeral services will be Friday morning February 25, 2011 at 10AM in the Chapel of Pine Crest with burial to follow in Pine Crest.
